2025 Summer Conference
The Basics
- We can check into camp starting at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 3rd, and need to check out by 10am on Friday, August 8th.
- There will likely be a "suggested donation", however, that is still to be determined (it will not exceed $100 per person for the week). We're currently raising start-up funds and hope we can tell you that camp is fully paid for before you arrive. No person will be turned away if they can't donate the suggested amount. Any amount, small or big, will be used to further the ministry.
- Any funds raised beyond the cost to run the camp will be held in escrow to fund future camp opportunities.
- While this is not a youth camp, there will be youth programming each day. We're planning youth Bible studies, crafts, waterfront time, game time, sing time, etc. Much of this will be during the afternoon free time. During these times, families can stick together, or we'll have dedicated staff to supervise the children.
- Lodging and three meals per day will be included in the "suggested donation".
The Teaching
- We'll have two sessions between 9:45-11:45am dedicated to Bible teaching.
- Dan Gross will lead the teaching to the adults, with assistance from other preachers. The full speaker lineup will be announced once we finalize it.
- My wife, Jessica, and myself will lead the teaching to the youth, with assistance from a select group of staff.
- There will also be an evening session for special music, presentations, Bible studies, etc.
- We will have Q&A sessions, as well as a box to deposit questions.
- We will also be having informal, "picnic table" and "campfire" discussions for the adults, which will allow you to be a part of the conversation.
- Nightly youth campfires will also be provided where we'll sing songs and discuss the topics discussed at the day's Bible study as well as answering the children's questions.
Lodging
- Kamp Kenwood has four cabins with 20 beds, and two bathrooms/showers in each cabin. At least one cabin will be specified for each gender. There is also a "staff cabin" that will mostly be reserved for staff but we may have some ability to house those with special needs. Please reach out to us to discuss.
- Of the remaining two cabins, larger families will have the option of partnering with other families to occupy an entire cabin. If that space isn't used, then we'll be able to spread those in the male/female cabins out.
- Tent camping, as well as RVs and trailers, are allowed and encouraged. Of course, there is only so much room so sign up early if that is your plan. Also, if you plan to pull in a trailer, there is a fair chance you won't have easy access to an electrical outlet. Also, the camp is adjacent to Wissota State Park, which also offers various camping opportunities.
- If you prefer hotel options, most are roughly 15 minutes from the camp.
Lastly
- Drop-ins (day visitors) are welcome, but we do need to know you are coming so we can plan accordingly. If you or someone else is planning to come, please fill out the form to alert us to expect you.
- Communication is key. We have a lot to plan and many questions are bound to come up. Please feel free to reach out to me so we can all be sure that we're on the same page.
